In 2023, our Eighth Annual lecture was on the topic ”Cancer a continuing Conundrum” by Dr. Anita Borges, MD (Pathology), FRCPath. She is the Director of Centre for Onco-Pathology, Wadala-Mumbai, Consultant Histopathologist at S L Raheja Hospital, Mahim, Mumbai. She is also Member of the National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibrating laboratories, India. Chairperson of the Advisory Committee for Medical Labs, NABL.
The Goa Cancer Society is an independent charity and voluntary non-profit organisation which was establishedin 1968. The soci-ety started Goa’s first cancer hospital and provides finan- cial assistance for various initiatives such as funding cancer detection camps, make-a-wish foundation, cancer awareness among school children, financial assistance scheme with Manipal Hospital, Dilasa Project, among others.
